asian mamas working in the arts are invited by LACA (Los Angeles Contemporary Archives) to participate in their project 'LACA at King Hing Theater' in chinatown. amwa presents a night of short films via open call sometime late may. to launch our film programming 'amwa film series', we welcome los angeles-based short film submissions by asian pacific islander desi americans. undocumented filmmakers welcome!

we are prioritizing films made in los angeles however those outside of los angeles are welcome to submit.
